​The Jackson Square Historic District of San Francisco contains a majority of the surviving 19th century brick-and-timber buildings, all loaded with period details. Jackson Square’s food scene is among the best in the San Francisco, with eateries such as Cotogna, Bix, Quince, Nico’s, Kusakabe, and Blue Bottle all located in the immediate area. The neighborhood enjoys easy access to freeways and public transportation, including the well-known BART system and San Francisco Ferry Building.
